In most companies one person buys PPE for several departments. Head protection for the yard, gloves for assembly, boots for the warehouse, hi-vis for contractors. Buying these separately means five quotations, five lead times and five sets of shipping documents for what is, commercially, one purchase.
Two things. First, the size assortment — if you need a spread of sizes in a single carton, that has to be specified at the quotation stage, because it changes how the factory packs. Second, the lead time: the order is only as fast as its slowest line, and it is better to know that before the deposit than after.
If one line is a stock reference and another has to be produced from scratch, the produced line sets the schedule. And if a reference cannot be branded, it cannot be dropped into an own-brand carton with the rest. Both are worth checking early.
Send the whole list, even the small lines. It is easier to quote a mixed order than to reassemble one from four separate emails.
These notes describe how we quote and what we will put in writing. If your situation does not match the general case, send it to us — a specific question gets a specific answer, in writing.
